Adding and removing tasks
Swipe a row right, press and hold it, or use the task’s ⋯ menu.
Any task can go on My List, from wherever you happen to see it. There are three ways, and they all do the same thing:
- Swipe the row to the right. A short swipe just shows what the action is; carry it a little further and it takes effect.
- Press and hold the row, then tap Add to My List or Remove from My List.
- Open the task, tap ⋯ in the top right, then Add to My List or Remove from My List.
The swipe reads the row as it is: it offers to add a task that isn’t on your list, and to remove one that is. Adding and removing are tinted differently, so which one is about to happen is clear before you read the label.
Removing a task from My List does nothing to the task. It stays in the household, at the same rhythm, available to everyone.
Note
Swiping a row to the left archives it instead. See how to archive a task.

What is My List?
A shortlist of tasks you want to keep in view. One per person, private to you, and it changes nothing about the tasks on it.
Where My List appears
A section on the Tasks tab, a marker on listed rows, and a starting point on the Focus tab.
How to archive a task
Archiving takes a task out of your active lists and keeps its history. It can be restored at any time.
