Widgets on iPhone

On iPhone, FreshChores offers three Home Screen widgets. Each does one thing, and a household can keep any or all of them.

• [FreshChores](article:w-capture) — three buttons into the app: add a task, or speak to add, complete, or add to My List.
• [Day streak](article:w-streak) — your own run of days with a completion, drawn like the app icon.
• [Things to take care of](article:w-tasks) — a few tasks you could pick up next, starting with your My List.

Adding one. Touch and hold an empty area of the Home Screen, tap the add button in the top corner, and search for FreshChores. The gallery lists the three in that order. The streak and task widgets come in small and medium; the capture widget is small only.

Versions. The streak and task widgets need iOS 16.1 or later. The capture widget needs iOS 17. On iOS 18, the same capture actions are also available as Control Center and Lock Screen buttons. On Android and the web there are no widgets, and the app behaves the same in every other respect.

The two widgets that show data read it for themselves, so they keep up without the app open. Each refreshes on its own schedule, and the moment you complete something in the app, your Home Screen moves with it. If the app has been signed out, a widget says so in place of its numbers.
