The Day streak widget
Your own run of days with a completion, drawn in the app’s colours.
The Day streak widget shows one number: how many days in a row you have completed something. It is drawn like the app icon — the rainbow bands, and the number on a light disc.
What counts. A day counts when at least one completed task is credited to you, in your own timezone. One is enough; more on the same day changes nothing. If someone completes a task on your behalf, it counts for you, not for them. Someone else’s own completions don’t move your number.
- Until you complete something today, the number is drawn in light grey. After the day’s first completion, it is inked in dark. The number itself is the same either way.
- A run that reached yesterday is still your run. It only ends if a whole day passes with nothing credited to you.
- Zero is drawn like any other number. There is no special message, and nothing to restart.
The medium size adds a second, darker disc. Before your first completion of the day, it shows how many tasks are available around the house. After it, it shows how many you have done today. At midnight it turns back.
The widget reads your streak on its own, and the app updates it the moment you complete something. Tapping it opens FreshChores. It needs iOS 16.1 or later.
Note
The streak is a count, not a commitment. FreshChores never reminds you to protect it, never shows you anyone else’s, and never ranks the household by it. The household’s own run, which any member’s completion extends, is the days with progress line in the Tasks tab.
