How to unstart a task
Canceling a started task releases it back to the household — no penalties.
If you started a task by mistake (or can’t finish it), you can cancel it to release it back to the household.
- In the Focus tab, tap Cancel to back out of a started task
- In the Tasks tab, tap the X on the right side of a started task to cancel it
Canceling clears your start without completing the task.
Tip
Canceling a started task is common. This system is meant to be forgiving.
