Suggestions
A few available tasks worth a look, spread across the day, and paused once you start or finish anything.
Suggestions point out a task that’s available right now. There are four kinds, each with its own switch, and each looks for a different sort of task:
- Earning tasks — when a task you can do has earnings available
- Occasional tasks — when a task that comes up less than weekly is available
- Day-specific tasks — when a task set for certain days is available today
- Seasonal tasks — when a task for this time of year is available
Any combination can be on. There is no master suggestions switch — the group is simply on while at least one of the four is.
When they arrive. One When setting covers all four:
- Morning — around 8-10 AM
- Later in the day — around 1-3 PM
- Evening — around 6-8 PM
- Any time — spread through the day
Within the window, each kind you have on gets its own time, picked fresh each day and in no fixed order. They never arrive together, and no task is mentioned twice in a day.
They stop once you’ve done something. Start or complete any task and suggestions stop for the rest of the day. The point of a suggestion is to offer a place to begin; once you’ve begun, it has nothing to add.
Nothing is sent when there’s no matching task. An empty day is quiet rather than padded.
Two other settings can hold suggestions back: the master Notifications switch, and Quiet mode while it’s active. Earning suggestions also need earnings to be on for the household and for you.
Note
Times follow your device’s timezone. All four kinds are on for a new account, and any of them can be turned off at any time.
